Two critters, and no complex vowels
The very easiest books in our "I CanRead" series use only selected letters. We're trying many approaches to provide a fun variety at this level, as children develop their reading skills.
Bob re-told this popular Aesop's Fable using simple words. But two crucial words - "rabbit" and "turtle" - require vowels that children haven't learned yet, for those words are replaced by pictures.
